Overview

Nicholas Visuals are a video production company, creating videos for a global audience. From TV advertisements, global fashion campaigns and celebrity collaborators.

Audience

  • Clients in the fashion industry, social media, sports and celebrities in mainstream media.

  • Creative Directors who would like to collaborate with them
Potential employees who would like to be a part of their team

Brief

Nicholas Visuals were wanting their personal brand to have a sense of personality and professionalism to match their work.

They had asked me to create the following:

  • Logo

  • Branding & Brand Guidelines for both online and print

  • One page design for their website

  • Client Documentation

Starting Point

The current User Journey of the website, was confusing and was proving difficult for users to navigate through the site. The pages were not categorised efficiently, which meant more clicks to get to relevant content. Resulting in a poor user experience.

Additional to this, it wasn’t clear when arriving onto the website what message they were trying to convey. They emphasised heavily on the fashion sector to promote their content, they marginalised their audience. It was clear they needed more of an introduction within the first scroll of their site.

Both Aaron and Ryan are young, fun and creative and a lot of their audience are the same. But their brand was just black and white.

Wireframes

A challenge I found when creating wireframes, was that I was provided with a 3 page Word Document from the client, which they thought was needed for the homepage design. They wanted to make sure that users understood who they were.
My initial thoughts were ‘who wants to read all that? We need to get to the point!’

I decided to condense, and create a small paragraph of intro text. Followed by a call to action that could sit at the top of the homepage.
