Overview

Players were sent an email, which took them to a landing page where they could vote for their favourite casino games. The theme was football, as it launched around the World Cup.

Each week their would be the following:

  • Launch (8 games to vote)

  • Semi-Finals ( 4 games to vote)

  • Finals ( 2 games to vote)

Their was also a bonus, for each game on the landing page.

Brief

My role in this project was to create the following:

  • Personas

  • Wireframes

  • UI Design

  • Fully built Landing Page coded with HTML,CSS and Jquery

Before I started the above myself and the Marketing Team had a kick off meeting, to discuss what our aims and objectives were, and how we could achieve them.

User Flow

My initial thoughts, were that we need to do a User Flow as the page can easily be confusing if not thought about in depth:

  • Introduction page

  • Voting Page

  • Fixtures Page

  • Bonuses Page

I found that there were a lot of clicks, and the flow was quite jarring. But I still continued onto doing wireframes, just to see if the flow can be improved.

Wireframes

My thoughts were to add a fixed navigation, with the items from the User Flow making is easier for players to click through the Landing Page. But what I learnt as the project progressed, was that it was over convoluted, and is something you would see on more of a website.

Challenges

The wireframes were showing risks that there was too much to click, in such a small space on a mobile device. Especially on the ‘Bonuses’ page.
As a team we decided, it would be good for me to build and prototype, using HTML, CSS and JQuery to get a feel of the current User Experience of the Landing Page.

FINAL DESIGNS

Once the prototype was built we decided to simplify the campaign. The navigation was removed from the bottom of the page, and we wanted to give players less to look at, at one time. We also included a separate instructions page, so that players can understand what they needed to do.

Here are the final design, and build of the landing page that I had created.
